DELMA introduces a new limited-edition Midland featuring a dial crafted from Muonionalusta meteorite, bringing an exceptional natural material to one of the brand’s cherished designs. Formed billions of years ago, the meteorite reveals a distinctive crystalline pattern when cut and finished, ensuring that every dial possesses its own individual character.
The Midland reflects DELMA’s assured approach to watchmaking, retaining the collection’s signature tonneau-shaped case, integrated stainless-steel bracelet and fluted bezel. Brushed and polished surfaces create a considered contrast between crisp angles and refined detailing, giving the watch a contemporary presence.
The naturally occurring Widmanstätten pattern of the meteorite dial provides a striking counterpoint to the Midland’s precise geometry. Created by the meteorite’s extremely slow cooling over immense periods of time, this intricate crystalline structure interacts with the light across the dial, adding depth and dimension while making every dial unique. A discreet minute track, applied indexes and hour and minute hands with Super-LumiNova BGW9 ensure clear readability, allowing the meteorite to remain the defining visual element.
The 40.5 mm stainless-steel case features a sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 10 ATM. It flows seamlessly into the integrated stainless-steel bracelet, secured by a folding clasp with pushers. The Midland is powered by a Swiss Made Sellita SW200-1 movement with a DELMA-customized rotor, visible through the exhibition case back.
